At Urban Farm Summer Camp, children dig into real work — planting, harvesting, caring for animals, and building something meaningful with their own hands. No screens. No routines. Just summer that sticks.
About Us
Urban Farm Summer Camp sits on active land in Corpus Christi where kids don't just observe nature — they participate in it. From seed to harvest, every program is designed around genuine agricultural work, not pretend play.
Our campus at 650 Robert Dr has been a gathering place for young learners for years. We draw on the unique Gulf Coast ecosystem — coastal prairie, wetlands, and a growing season that runs long — to create experiences you won't find anywhere else in South Texas.
Our counselors are trained educators and outdoors people who know when to step in and when to let a child wrestle with a problem. The result: kids who leave more confident, more capable, and genuinely excited about the natural world.
Programs
Each track is built around a different facet of farm life — from soil to sky — so every camper finds their own entry point into the outdoors.
Plant, tend, and harvest your own food. Campers learn seasonal growing cycles, composting, and the satisfaction of eating something they grew themselves.
Feed, groom, and learn the routines of farm animals. Kids discover responsibility and empathy through daily care of chickens, goats, and other residents.
Explore the Gulf Coast ecosystem — tidal pools, prairie trails, and wetland edges. Campers study local wildlife and learn how coastal habitats sustain life.
Unstructured outdoor time — climbing, building forts, nature scavenger hunts, and campfire storytelling. The kind of play that rebuilds attention spans.
Turn farm materials into art — pressed flower prints, seed-paper crafts, natural dyeing, and woodworking projects that actually get used.
Harvested ingredients become real meals. Campers learn basic cooking skills, food safety, and the connection between what grows and what goes on the plate.

Lodging
For families traveling in or wanting the full immersive experience, our on-site lodging lets you extend the camp feeling well past drop-off time.
Whether it's a weekend extension or a full week, our comfortable rooms and shared spaces keep the community alive after the program ends. Wake up to birds instead of alarms. Eat breakfast with people you've only just begun to know.
Testimonials
My daughter came home covered in dirt, exhausted, and absolutely glowing. She talked about the garden for three weeks straight. This camp gave her something no classroom ever has.
We drove in from Austin specifically for this camp, and it was worth every mile. The staff treats the kids like real people, not passengers. My son made friends he still talks to months later.
The lodging was the perfect addition — we got to stay an extra night and the kids didn't want to leave. Waking up on the farm, eating breakfast together, it felt like a real retreat.
